Fantastic Mr. Fox
Dir. Wes Anderson
Storyboard Artist

I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time and I learned alot… extremely kind man… extremely precise… he seamed magical during our interactions… and he’s an amazing cartoonist… if he just did cartoon drawings he would be famous….all in pen too, he had no need to second guess, or change an idea. The images in his mind were so clear to him, he’d nail it right there in the pen drawing, felt like hanging with Picasso.

Props to the Henry Sellick Team for executing this classic, My job was basically getting Wes warmed up with roughly 20 pages of script boarded in this fast loose style.

I had just come off working with a team of serious storyboarding heavyweights over at Blue Sky Studios, One of which, Bill Frake’s advice kept ringing in my ear,” It’s all about the shapes, man!” get the shapes down you can do anything” seemingly mundane advice, keeps haunting me and carrying me through each project.

Looking back I’m quite proud. This was a pretty serious endeavor at 25.

Very grateful for Jeremy Dawson for Mentoring me in school and then sending me out of the country for this. Montmarte and Eloise you’ll always have a piece of my heart.
